The upper is coated with a water repellent treatment to help keep you dry, with a touch of an extra layer of defence against the elements.
Knitted material serves as a warm jacket for your feet. The layer towards the toes is placed in areas where water can be absorbed, helping to keep you dry. The back of the shoe is also insulated, so the tops of your feet stay comfortable.
